Tensile clamps are one of the commonly used power hardware on 10KV and 35KV lines.
There are two types of tension clamps commonly used on lines: optical cable tension clamps and conductor tension clamps.
As a common power hardware, tension clamps mainly play the role of fixing wires in the line and fixing connections at corners, connections, and terminals. They also play the role of protecting the line, auxiliary shock absorption, and conductors.

(1) Bolt-type tension clamps are used to fix wires on tension-resistant corner tower insulator strings. They are suitable for fixing small and medium-section wires.
(2) Compression type tension clamp, one is to fix the wire on the tension insulator string and is suitable for large cross-section wires, and the other is to fix the ground wire on the tension rod.
(3) Wedge-shaped tension wire clamp to fix the ground wire on the tension rod.
Tension clamp model indicates:
(1)NLD--1, 2, 3... represents. The meaning of the model is: N - tension clamp; L - bolt type; D - flip-chip type; such as NLD-1, which means type 1 bolt flip-chip tension clamp.
(2) Indicated by the letters NY. N means tension clamp, Y means crimping type. The number after "1" is the nominal cross-section.
(3) Indicated by the letter NB. N - tension clamp, B - explosion pressure type. The number after "1" is the nominal cross-section.

2 Product classification
Tension clamps can be roughly divided into two categories according to their structure and installation conditions:

Category 1: Tension-resistant wire clamps must withstand all the tensile force of the conductor or lightning protection wire. The clamp's holding force is not less than 90% of the rated tensile strength of the installed wire or lightning protection wire, but it does not serve as a conductor. This type of wire clip can be removed after the wire is installed and used separately. This type of cable clamps include bolt-type tension cable clamps and wedge-type tension cable clamps.

Category 2: In addition to bearing all the tensile force of the wire or lightning protection wire, the tension clamp also serves as a conductor. Therefore, once this type of cable clamp is installed, it cannot be disassembled and is also called a dead cable clamp. Since it is a conductor, the installation of the cable clamp must be carried out carefully in compliance with the relevant installation operating procedures.

3 Features


1) The wire clip has high strength and reliable grip. The gripping strength of the wire clip should not be less than 95% CUTS (calculated breaking force of stranded wire).

2) The clamp distributes the stress on the twisted wire evenly without damaging the twisted wire, improves the vibration resistance of the twisted wire, and greatly extends the service life of the conductor.

3) Simple installation and convenient construction. The construction time can be greatly shortened, and no special tools are required, and the operation can be completed by one person.

4) The installation quality of the cable clamps is easy to ensure and can be inspected with the naked eye without special training.

5) Good corrosion resistance and high-quality materials. The material is exactly the same as the wire, ensuring that the clamp has strong resistance to electrochemical corrosion.

6) An anti-theft ring is optional to effectively solve the anti-theft problem.
