Audited Supplier The insulator is commonly called as porcelain vase, and it is the insulation part which is used to support the conductors. Insulators can ensure adequate insulation for wires, cross arms, and pole towers. It should be able to withstand the vertical load and horizontal tension of the conductor during operation. It also withstands corrosion from the sun, rain, climate change and chemicals. Therefore, insulators must have both good electrical properties and sufficient mechanical strength. The quality of insulators is very important to the safe operation of lines.
Insulators used in overhead lines commonly include porcelain insulator, pin type insulators, spool insulators, suspension insulators, cross arms insulators, rod insulators and tension insulators.
High-voltage line disk-shaped suspension porcelain insulators
High-voltage line disk-shaped suspension porcelain insulators are used for insulating and fixing wires in high-voltage overhead transmission and distribution lines, and are generally assembled into insulator strings for lines of different voltage levels.
Ordinary insulators are suitable for general areas, and if the number of insulators is appropriately increased, the pollution flashover performance can also be improved.
Insulators are divided into two types: ball type and groove type according to the connection method. Ordinary type and anti-pollution type insulators of the same strength class adopt the same ball and socket connection size, which can be guaranteed to be interchangeable.

GB/T 7253-2005 standard stipulates (new model):
U--Suspension insulator;
The number after U indicates the specified electromechanical or mechanical damage load value, kN;
B or C indicates ball socket or slot connection;
S or L indicates Short or long structure height, M means medium length, EL means extra long;
P means large creepage distance.
Suspension porcelain insulators are made of porcelain parts, iron caps, and steel feet glued with not less than No. 525 Portland cement and quartz sand glue. The iron cap and the steel foot are coated with a thin buffer layer on the contact surface of the adhesive, and the top of the steel foot is covered with an elastic pad. The surface of porcelain pieces is generally painted with white glaze and brown glaze, and other glazes can also be painted according to needs. The surface of iron cap and steel foot is all hot zinc. There are two types of push-pull elastic locking pins with spherical connection, W type and R type, all made of tin bronze, brass, or austenitic stainless steel, with good elasticity and corrosion resistance, and easy to assemble and disassemble. Cylindrical and camelback cotter pins with groove connection, the former is made of zinc, and the latter is made of brass.
